RE:GENESIS: SOWN FOR PURPOSE

Oct 25, 2026  •  Greg McGhee

After years of betrayal, slavery, temptation, prison, and waiting, Joseph finally begins to see what God has been doing all along. In Genesis 41, God prepares the way, reveals Joseph’s purpose, raises him from the pit to the pinnacle, and brings growth through everything he has endured. Joseph’s circumstances change dramatically, but his faithfulness does not. Whether in prison or the palace, he continues to trust God, give Him the glory, and steward what has been placed in his hands. The chapter reminds us that suffering is not wasted in the hands of God. He can use the very places that wounded us to prepare us, shape us, and make us fruitful for a purpose far bigger than ourselves.
