THE KING WE NEEDED: EASTER SUNDAY: THE KING (Philippians 2:1-11)
This Easter message, “The King We Needed,” walks through Philippians 2:1–11 to reveal how Jesus succeeds where Israel’s kings failed. Saul showed the danger of a king who takes, but Jesus is a King who gives, humbling Himself to serve and save. David revealed what happens when a king stays back, but Jesus is a King who fights, stepping into our place and winning the battle at the cross. Solomon fell under pressure, but Jesus is a King who stands, resisting every temptation without sin. And unlike every earthly king who died, Jesus is a King who lives, raised and exalted, with all authority. Because He gave, we don’t have to be enough. Because He fought, we don’t fight for victory. Because He stood, we don’t have to stay down. And because He lives, we have hope now and forever.
