RE:GENESIS: HUMBLED FROM PRIDE (GENESIS 11:1-32)

Genesis 11 tells the story of humanity’s attempt to build life without God. The people had great unity and synergy, but no humility. They built with ability and availability, but without God’s authority. Their tower was a monument to pride, not worship — and God intervened, humbling their plans and scattering them to fulfill His purpose. Babel reminds us that whenever we build apart from God, we end up with confusion instead of completion. Yet even in our rebellion, God’s plan continues. The line from Babel to Abram points us to Jesus, the true “offspring” through whom all nations will be blessed. This message calls people to stop building towers of self-reliance and start trusting the God who comes down in grace.
