ARRIVAL: THE WORD WHO FORMS (John 1:1-3)

Dec 7, 2025    Greg McGhee

This message launches our Christmas series by starting where John starts—before Bethlehem, before creation, before beginnings existed. In John 1:1–3, we see that Jesus is the eternal Word who was present before time, fully God, and the active Creator through whom all things were made. This sermon connects back to our Genesis series, showing that the same Word who formed the universe is the One who still forms us today. Rather than focusing on the manger, we focus on the majesty: Jesus did not enter the story; He originates it. This message establishes the foundation for the entire series by highlighting Christ’s eternal nature, divine identity, creative power, and ongoing work of forming our lives.
