FORGIVING - Matthew 18:21-35 (FROM “RED LETTER CHALLENGE”)

Main Idea: Jesus' whole purpose in coming was to provide forgiveness for sins.  In fact, while he was hanging on the cross being crucified by Roman Soldiers and mocked by the crowd he spoke the words, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.”  Jesus also spent a lot of time teaching his disciples about forgiveness.  In our passage today, he tells an epic story that illustrates what forgiveness is, and why we should practice forgiveness in our own lives.
