STOP GOING TO CHURCH: Service Requires Need (Acts 6:1-7)
Nov 16, 2025 • Greg McGhee
In Acts 6:1–7, the early church faced a crisis of need as growth exposed gaps in care. Instead of ignoring the problem, they engaged it with wisdom and Spirit-led action—raising up qualified servants to meet practical needs so the apostles could stay focused on prayer and the Word. This passage shows that when the church handles needs right, the gospel advances strongly. We can’t meet every need, but we must meet the ones God places before us. For Fieldview, that includes stepping into the foster and adoption world—meeting physical needs while pointing to our spiritual adoption in Christ. Shared service leads to greater gospel reach.
